THE VERTICAL FARM

ZERO FOOD MILES / ZERO PESTICIDES /

TONNES OF FLAVOUR / 365 DAYS PER YEAR

Vertical Farming is the process of growing fresh produce indoors using technology to replicate the sun, wind, and rain. Inside the Vertical Farm the environment is entirely controlled to optimise growing conditions.

Using a hydroponic growing system, microgreens are being produced in Oxford, to be used in the City's finest restaurants as well as the kitchens of home subscribers.

ZERO FOOD MILES

As the growing conditions are controlled inside the Vertical Farm, crops can be grown anywhere regardless of the weather outside. This means that crops, that would typically be imported from several miles away, can be grown here in Oxford.

ZERO PESTICIDES

The Vertical Farm is entirely sealed meaning there is no exposure to outside pests such as weeds, insects, and diseases. As such, chemicals are not required to maintain the optimal growing conditions.

TONNES OF FLAVOUR

The close proximity of the Vertical Farm to kitchens allows for all produce to be delivered extremely fresh within hours of harvest. No time is lost during storage or transit which preserves the intense flavours.

365 DAYS PER YEAR

As growth within the Vertical Farm is not influenced by outside conditions, crops can be grown all year round, providing a continuous supply of fresh produce, a unique feature of Vertical Farming. Planting cycles can be scheduled to coincide with delivery days ensuring crops are at the perfect growth stage in time for harvest.
